About

I have lived all my life around the Fylde Coast of the United Kingdom. The area that inspires me ranges from the Trough of Bowland through to Lancaster and along the coast through the villages of Pilling, Knott End, Stalmine, Hambleton. The coastal town of Fleetwood and its neighbouring Cleveleys with their wide expanse of beaches have also been a great source of inspiration.

One of my favourite things to do has been to do has been to walk around the area, take photos, and create artworks which bring these areas to life. The illustration on the left was inspired by a walk down the Lancaster canal at Garstang. I love the way these proud and spooky birds quietly watch, and then suddenly swoop, spreading their large wing span down the middle of the river or canal.
